Paul had previously worked with Walter Wood Associates as an Architectural Technician. His strong ability and varied experience led him to continue his role within Slorach Wood.
Paul’s attention to detail and technical ability has always been respected within the office and is the main technical adviser to all at the practice. Paul is responsible for keeping the practice up to date with current regulations and this allows the practice to run efficiently.
Paul takes pride in his precise and organised nature which allows him to carry out his technical skill to its full potential. He is a supportive asset to the team and always ready to lend a hand when required.
Kirsty originally joined Slorach Wood Architects on her Part 1 year out from Robert Gordon University. Her strong personality and determined spirit led her to be asked back to continue her studies for her Part 3 at the practice. Earlier this year Kirsty passed her Part 3 and now works as a fully qualified Architect.
Kirsty has been involved in various projects within the practice ranging from small to large scale residential projects providing great design ability and her interpersonal skills allow her to engage with Clients and other Consultants with ease. Kirsty is heavily involved in PR & marketing and encourages the office to participate in promoting the practice.
Joe McGuigan is our new member of staff who graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in Architectural Technology.
Joe has many interests and one of his many passions is historic buildings and their original features. He has been volunteering on the Saughton Park Restoration Project as chief historian & created a 3D Model of Saughton Hall and a physical model of the Edwardian Bandstand to help bring the history to life.
We are delighted to welcome him as part of the SWA team.
Robin has been at Slorach Wood Architects since 2006 as the Practice Manager. She works alongside others to help keep the practice structured and organised. She assists in all aspects of the practice and is known to facilitate many elements of information for Slorach Wood and Alliance CDM.
Robin also manages the practice’s quality assurance as this is a large element of structure that needs to be maintained within the office. She is assertive, hardworking and her approachable personality allows her to communicate well with clients and all members of the team within the practice.
Ryan joined Slorach Wood Architects in January 2017 as an Architectural Technologist and is the newest member of the team. Having recently graduated from Robert Gordon University, his enthusiasm and eagerness have made him a great addition to the Practice and he has proven himself to be a reliable, hardworking part of the team. He is currently working toward becoming a Chartered Architectural Technologist.
Ryan has a particular interest in creating visualisations of designs to provide clients with a sense of how the design will eventually look. He is also continually expanding his technical knowledge and skills within the office.
